TelSpan Purchases Innovative Aonta Bridge

News Release: November 30, 2010

TelSpan, the Indianapolis-based provider of worldwide conferencing services, is proud to announce the purchase and installation of the ACS 1000, Audio Conferencing Bridge, created and installed by Aonta Technologies, Dublin, Ireland. “The Aonta bridge is a world-class, carrier-grade conferencing bridge for high quality, high capacity conferencing and is based upon SIP technology, the emerging standard for VoIP technologies,” according to David Seavers, President of Aonta.  David adds, “We are delighted to have TelSpan as a customer. TelSpan’s commitment to E3 Service “Excellence Exceeding Expectations” is represented in the character of their team, the quality of their services, and their dedication to client service.”

This bridge offers TelSpan clients a wealth of new benefits and features including increased flexibility, improved client customization and branding options, greater capacity for large audio conferences, and increased fraud protection and is being marketed under the name T3.

“TelSpan is excited to introduce this new bridge and SIP software,” noted Beth Martin, TelSpan’s TechOps Manager.  “With its flexibility and scalability, this bridge will provide us with opportunities to integrate with other advanced conferencing technologies, and will allow us the capacity to host audio conferences of increased size.”

TelSpan’s Chairman, J. Bruce Laughrey, notes that David Seavers, Aonta’s President, has continued his focus upon excellence in the design and development of the Aonta bridge. “Having known David for nearly ten years, we recognize this bridge as the continuation of the finest conferencing bridge lineage in the world.  This bridge, and Aonta, offers impressive conferencing capabilities to our clients now and into the future.”

TelSpan intends to use the new T3 platform to power large conferences as well as high touch Q&A conferences.  “With SIP at its very foundation, the Aonta system enables higher levels of service to our clients in every aspect,” according to Keith E. Locke, President and C.E.O., TelSpan.  “With TelSpan’s continuing growth and focus upon providing new technologies and services, this bridge will enable TelSpan to serve clients as technologies and the needs of our clients continue to evolve.”

TelSpan first offered conferencing services in 1995, based upon its own internally designed and developed bridges.  Since that time, TelSpan has focused upon providing clients with “best-in-class” conferencing and communications technologies and offers a full line of web, audio, and video conferencing solutions as well as online registration, streaming, and other communications services.
